Opportunity is missed because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work

We’re all looking for a great purpose in life. We all want to wake up in the morning excited about the day. We all want a career that makes the world a better place. We all want to be excited about our job.

What if i told you, you can have some of that but not all of that? You can have a career that makes the world a better place but it’s a little different than you think.

What if I told you, you’ll wake up most days not excited about your job, that eventually it will become a grind, that joy will eventually not be the reason you go to work. What if I told you, you job will become just another job?

No matter what field you decide to go into, you will find yourself having to work hard when you don’t feel like it. You will find yourself having to make decisions from a point of discipline rather than joy. Your job will become a job.

This is where most young adults gets depressed, when they have to do something even though they don’t feel like it. They have to work through the malaise and even pain at times. They will fail a lot before they succeed. The job they thought was going to satisfy them deeply will become just another job at times.

Here is my advice, work through the discipline and submission it takes to keep going even though you don’t feel like it. Just because your job became a job and lost some of its golden shine doesn’t mean you are not making a difference.
