As I look out my window and see the snow pile up I can’t help think of warm summer days and late summer nights. I know you do the same because I see your instagram posts. Often as we watch a snow storm all we think about is how bad the roads will be, if the power will stay on, how high our energy bill will be.
But as I look out the window and wrestle with my thoughts I also see the beauty in the snow storm.
Our life so often feels like a snow storm. Busyness seem to pile up, we can’t see where we are headed in Life as all the busyness and the expectations of others flies in our face.
The Bible says in Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”
As I read this verse I can’t help but ask. Do I declare the glory of God in the storm? Or proclaim the work of his hands? Or am I so busy looking at the storm it self that I forget the One who made it is working all things for my good.
As young people we have big dreams and want to see the next big thing.
But what if we slowed down and try’d to see the beauty in the snow storm.
Because if we don’t one day we will look back and all we will see is bad roads and high energy bills
